The Taming of the Shrew Revival 2019

While the current season of Bard on the Beach continues until September 24, Bard Artistic Director Christopher Gaze has announced the lineup for the Festival's 34th Season, which will run from June to September, 2023.

Shakespeare's beloved romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet joins the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival's 33rd Season in Sen̓ákw/Vanier Park. Romeo and Juliet runs on the Howard Family Stage in the Douglas Campbell Theatre for a limited engagement from August 3 to September 24, 2022.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the full cast of The Merchant of Venice, performed in the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, directed by Abigail Graham and designed by Sarah Beaton.

While the 30th season of Bard on the Beach continues until September 21, Artistic Director Christopher Gaze has just announced the lineup for the Festival's 31st Season, which will run from June 11 to September 26, 2020. It includes the most popular play in Bard's history, plus a thrilling historical drama, a music-filled Jazz Age romance and a provocative contemporary play based on Milton's Paradise Lost.

Aquarius Players presents a site-specific 90 minute production of The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare. Shakespeare & Company is thrilled to announce its 2019 summer season, May 23 - October 13, 2019.

The collaborative, cross-cast company is announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) productions of As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew and Measure for Measure, playing in a newly reconfigured Royal Shakespeare Theatre next summer. All three productions will then tour in repertoire for the first time to six regional theatres in 2019 and 2020. The actors will each appear in two of the three plays performed as part of the Summer 2019 repertoire. Design for all three productions is by Stephen Brimson Lewis, Director of Design for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran announced today his ambition for a new collaborative cross-cast ensemble which reflects the nation, to play three Shakespeare productions in a newly reconfigured Royal Shakespeare Theatre next summer. All three productions will then tour in repertoire for the first time to six regional theatres in 2019.
