(4/28/2012) Office Space is a 1999 American comedy film satirizing work life in a typical 1990s software company. Written and directed by Mike Judge, it focuses on a handful of individuals fed up with their jobs portrayed by Ron Livingston, Jennifer Aniston, Gary Cole, David Herman, Ajay Naidu, and Diedrich Bader. Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston) is a computer programmer working for Initech in Houston. Every day, he and his friends Samir (Ajay Naidu) and Michael Bolton (David Herman), suffer endless indignities and humiliations in their soulless workspace from their soulless boss, Bill Lumbergh (Gary Cole).

Music Theatre International (MTI) granted StarStruck the privilege of producing the World Premiere of RENT: School Edition in 2007, and now the musical that changed Broadway is coming back to the Treasure Coast. It will play StarStruck Theatre April 20-29.

He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, in temptation and the intrigues of political power – but in the end, he finds it in the simple pleasures of home and family.

Tickets in advance are $25 with $20 tickets available for groups of 10 or more, $35 at the door. Maltz Jupiter Theatre Announces $1 million Gift from Paul and Sandra Goldner for its Conservatory

(3/27/2012) The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has announced an unprecedented gift of $1 million for its Conservatory of Performing Arts from Jupiter residents Paul and Sandra Goldner. In a ceremony held in the Goldners’ honor, the Theatre’s leaders unveiled signs bearing the Conservatory’s new name: the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts.

Jeff Blumenkrantz, Laura Patinkin Perform at Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club

(3/27/2012) On Tuesday, March 20, Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club, a premier golf club in Boca Raton, Florida, welcomed back recent recipient of the Fred Ebb Award and Tony Award Nominee, Jeff Blumenkrantz and his fellow Broadway actor, Laura Patinkin. The two performers showcased their talents for a crowd of more than 200 Boca Grove members and guests. The intimate, two person show featured a number of beloved Broadway standards from shows such as "Sound of Music," "West Side Story," "Gypsy," "Cabaret" and more. They also performed a handful of Blumenkrantz's original songs.

Knight Foundation's "Random Acts of Culture" program. A total of six surprise opera performances took the airport by storm. Singers sat and stood casually among other bystanders waiting for flights in terminal D. Then, suddenly, the music began and was shortly followed by seven vocalists performing " Libiamo" (the Drinking Song) from Verdi's La Traviata.

(3/1/2012) Broadway star Tom Wopat is enjoying the Florida sunshine this week as he takes to the stage at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. Returning to the Royal Room for the first time since 2007, Tom Wopat first came to public attention in the late-1970s as the freewheeling Luke Duke on the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. In 1977, he made his Broadway debut in Cy Coleman’s I Love My Wife. Wopat went on to perform in the Tony Award–winning City of Angels and Guys and Dolls. He received a Tony nomination for creating the role of Frank Butler in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun, opposite Bernadette Peters. In 2008, Wopat returned to Broadway as Tom Hurley in A Catered Affair with Faith Prince and Harvey Fierstein. 2011 saw him again on Broadway starring as Frank Abagnale Sr. in the new adaptation of Catch Me If You Can.

Opening Weekend of Soundtheater/Opera HAMLET Rescheduled

(2/22/2012) Due to technical difficulties, the official opening night of Carson Kievman's "HAMLET Soundtheater/Opera," at SoBe Arts' Little Stage Theater, will be moved to Friday, March 2. Additional performances will take place (as previously scheduled) through March 11, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
