Photo Flash: Kowerk Grand Opening Celebrates Women in Business

On Wednesday, December 12th, the North Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed Kowerk, a unique and innovative offering within the shared-space concept, into the PBC business community. Geared toward young, creative entrepreneurs, Kowerk opens a new window of opportunity for both business and educational use by providing a "complete package" - not only affordable office space but also experienced professionals with respected credentials in administration, bookkeeping, advertising, publicity, information technology (IT), and an extensive array of other services needed to set a business on the road to success.

Attending the ribbon cutting were Gail McCormack and Jane Pike of the North Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, Tenchy Salas of the bi-lingual publication Portada Florida, and Greg Bellamy, the Chair of Visage, a company dedicated to helping chief executives improve their effectiveness. One of the most interesting things about Kowerk is that women are essential to its success. Stephanie Duahu is the creative genius behind its hip, colorful, energetic design. Her imaginative photography graces the walls and adds additional style to an already inspired work environment. Theresa Laurenzano and Jodi Plett, the owners of Elite EAs, will provide administrative assistance, and Donna Carbone of Write For You, will provide press/writing/editing services - all at reasonable prices. Kowerk is very supportive of women in the business community, recognizing that women are a vital part of the corporate world and economic growth.

Kowerk, located in Northpoint Corporate Park, held its grand opening celebration on Friday evening, December 14th, much to the enjoyment of the eclectic group of attendees. Among those present were attorney David Lucey, Dr. Gary T. Barrette (consultant for sports/fitness/recreation), Lou Ann Barrette (President/CEO Keystone Realty Group) and Amy Sherit, the President of Creative Marketing Concepts located in Aventura. Guest traveled from as far away as Miami and Port St. Lucie to celebrate what they believe to be an important step forward in business and economic development for Palm Beach County.
