No Bullies Allowed! in Broadway NO BULLIES ALLOWED!
Aventura Arts & Cultural Center
2/4-2/4/2013
At Enchanted Elementary, things haven't been so charming lately. The Big Bad Wolf is not only bullying his usual suspects, The Three Pigs and Little Red, but now he's moved on to his other classmates, Jack, Cinderella and Ugly Duckling. Flashbacks to earlier times show these characters being bullied in their own past hiSTORIES. But wait...the Wolf has HIS side of the story to tell too. Popular fairy tale characters and story lines are intergraded into anti-bullying lessons and solution-oriented messages. But how do they propose to do this over at Enchanted Elementary? They form a club.... a club called NO Bullies Allowed!

Sister Robert Anne's Cabaret Class in Broadway SISTER ROBERT ANNE'S CABARET CLASS
Aventura Arts & Cultural Center
2/7-2/10/2013
When is a Class not a Class? When it's a MUSICAL EVENT starring Sister Robert Anne. "SISTER ROBERT ANNE'S CABARET CLASS" is a "one-nun" tour-de-force created by Dan Goggin as part of the "Nunsense" series of musical comedies. Using the premise that the audience is her class, Sister will entertain everyone with show-stopping numbers, hilarious stories and even some audience participation. You don't have to be Catholic, you don't even have to be a "Nunsense" fan to enjoy Christine Mild's amazing performance in this production. BroadwayWorld calls Christine Mild "The perfect person for the job, starring in a fabulous night of musical theatre!" NBC News raved, "This is a great show!" Bring the one you love to the nun you'll love when you come to Aventura to share in the fun and excitement that is "Sister Robert Anne's Cabaret Class!" It would be a sin to miss it!

Ellis Island in Broadway ELLIS ISLAND
Aventura Arts & Cultural Center
2/11-2/11/2013
Ellis Island... Gateway to a Dream is a musical journey that follows a group of immigrants during their time on the Island. Their experiences are typical of the many thousands who came to America in the early 1900's. From the excitement and delight of a young woman who proclaims that, in this land she, too, can "Run A Machine" to the humorous confusion of an interviewer who cannot pronounce an immigrant's name; from the happiness of a mother about to be reunited with her son to the poignant reflections of a father starting anew, their stories are varied and filled with wonder. At the end of the journey, lights change, time shifts and we return to the present with the knowledge that behind the many names on the wall are real people with real stories. Ellis Island is a symbol of every person who ever came to these shores from a far away place to make a new home.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change in Broadway I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE
Broward Center for the Performing Arts
1/13-2/16/2013
The long-running off Broadway hit musical is updated for a new generation! A cast of four portrays over 20 roles in a collection of scenes and songs that scale the full spectrum of male/female relationships. From first dates, to pre-marital jitters, post-marital complaints, honeymoons, parenthood and divorces, the agony and ecstasy of relationships are celebrated with a simplicity and truthfulness that will leave you rolling in the aisles with laughter and privately wiping the tears from your eyes. Find everything you've ever wanted to know about dating, mating and marriage; husbands, wives, kids and in-laws but were afraid to ask about the trials and tribulations of dealing with the opposite sex. Parents who talk baby talk, men who talk and women who pretend to listen, infidelity and the injustice of long lines for the ladies room are just some of the issues that are hilariously skewed in Joe DiPietro's hugely successful musical review.

Wicked in Broadway WICKED
Broward Center for the Performing Arts
1/30-2/17/2013
SO MUCH HAPPENED BEFORE DOROTHY DROPPED IN. Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One - born with emerald green skin - is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for "the most complete - and completely satisfying - new musical in a long time" (USA Today). On Broadway and around the world, WICKED has worked its magic on critics and audiences alike. Winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy® and three Tony® Awards, WICKED is "Broadway's biggest blockbuster" and "the defining musical of the decade" (The New York Times).
