Marion Grodin in Broadway MARION GRODIN
Aventura Arts & Cultural Center
2/2-2/2/2013
Marion Grodin was born funny. How could she not have been. It's in her DNA. Of course, her father, the comedy icon, Charles Grodin passed along all his "funny", but this legacy goes way back. Marion's paternal Great Grandfather was actually a Talmudic Scholar whose students would come from very far away to hear him teach because he was so popular for his phenomenal ability to make the Torah humorous! His hilarious anecdotes were famous near and far! And then on her Mother's side, Marion's extraordinarily funny Grandmother, her "Mama" is actually one of the main characters in Marion's hysterical show, "Growing Up Grodin"...which traces how this comedy dynamo evolved into being one of the countries' funniest, warmest, most relatable comedians, working today. In the fabulous journey Marion takes her audience on in "Growing Up Grodin" we get a behind the scenes look at how growing up around such eccentric, colorful, characters, made Marion who she is today! Marion Grodin had been a Nationally Headlining Comedian for the last fifteen years. She has opened for Lewis Black, Linda Ronstadt, Robert Klein, to name just a few. She is also a favorite on the Philanthropic Circuit, performing regularly for organizations such as Gilda's Club, JCC's Nationwide, as well as having recently co-hosted the Juvenile Diabetes Annual Fundraiser alongside Mary Tyler Moore. Along with her unforgettable live performances, Marion has also appeared on The Conan O'Brien Show, The Joy Behar Show, and just made her second appearance on The View.

Aventura Arts & Cultural Center

At Enchanted Elementary, things haven't been so charming lately. The Big Bad Wolf is not only bullying his usual suspects, The Three Pigs and Little Red, but now he's moved on to his other classmates, Jack, Cinderella and Ugly Duckling. Flashbacks to earlier times show these characters being bullied in their own past hiSTORIES. But wait...the Wolf has HIS side of the story to tell too. Popular fairy tale characters and story lines are intergraded into anti-bullying lessons and solution-oriented messages. But how do they propose to do this over at Enchanted Elementary? I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change in Broadway I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE
Broward Center for the Performing Arts
1/13-2/16/2013
The long-running off Broadway hit musical is updated for a new generation! A cast of four portrays over 20 roles in a collection of scenes and songs that scale the full spectrum of male/female relationships. From first dates, to pre-marital jitters, post-marital complaints, honeymoons, parenthood and divorces, the agony and ecstasy of relationships are celebrated with a simplicity and truthfulness that will leave you rolling in the aisles with laughter and privately wiping the tears from your eyes. Find everything you've ever wanted to know about dating, mating and marriage; husbands, wives, kids and in-laws but were afraid to ask about the trials and tribulations of dealing with the opposite sex. Parents who talk baby talk, men who talk and women who pretend to listen, infidelity and the injustice of long lines for the ladies room are just some of the issues that are hilariously skewed in Joe DiPietro's hugely successful musical review.

On Broadway and around the world, WICKED has worked its magic on critics and audiences alike. Winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy® and three Tony® Awards, WICKED is "Broadway's biggest blockbuster" and "the defining musical of the decade" (The New York Times).
