The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) and ArtStage Performing Arts Center are joining forces to help the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves fulfill their mission "to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted."

ArtStage students and parents, who have actively participated in this program for years, will focus on donating toys. Burt Reynolds Institute students will provide new, unused, age appropriate books for the children. BRIFT students chose to focus on literacy because their mentor, Burt Reynolds, is an avid reader, who always encourages his students to expand their horizons through the written word.

The Toys for Tots annual event usually begins in October and ends just before Christmas. BRIFT and ArtStage are getting a jump on the season by beginning their collection drive NOW – in early September. Anyone wishing to donate a toy or book to Toys for Tots may do so at the BRIFT/ArtStage studio located at: 304 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida or by calling 561 743-9955.
